Good advertising makes its intended
audience work a little. Just a little. Not enough and
it’s wallpaper, too much, it’s obscure. We all like
to feel we’re smart enough to have made the leap the ad
demands from us.
My favourite piece here is the Amnesty
‘everyone goes free’ poster. It works on three
levels, communicating the emotional, the financial and the
charitable benefits.
